I think things might get interesting here.This puts Blu ray in a very desperate position. And even a few major Paramount directors are pissed off by the decision.

Just don't expect the difference between PS3 and 360 versions of EA games to be Madden 08 size forever. Once EA gets a hang of the PS3, they will be able to make quality on PS3 in shorter time even if they are making the 360 version their first priority.

EA releases crap games simultanously across all consoles. This explains why Madden 08 has less frame rates on PS3, they cared more about the 360 version and PS3 is complex to develop for.

You hear those guys praising it so much, yet it looks like a generic shooter from the video they're runing. Sorta the opposite of Lair.
The title indicates that PS3 is no longer getting Folklore, instead PSP is getting it. Is that true? I don't think so, so change the title to something like Folklore coming to PSP.
They nominated Halo 2 for most disappointing game of the year, because it was all about online play with no good singler player. They were right Halo was great but Halo 2 blew. While all other sites were giving it game of the year.
SO it seems bioshock is overrated by the sites giving out 10's before they even had time to digest the game. It's probably a great game but reality check says it might not be the next Grand Theft Auto or Halo.
But then the same thing can be said about the studious that support blu ray. I'm starting to think no side will win here, they're gonna start making dual format players. With the studious that HD DVD has, it can't die off, and with the studious that Blu ray has, it can't die off.

reality check. they tend to not fall for the hype of games and really bring them down to earth. I usually always include Gamespot as the real review. But they are far from perfect and can be wrong. But they're more consistance than those sites tossing out perfect scores before they even had time to digest the game.
Plain and simple. Okay so it's true that standalone players matter. But I fail to see how releasing on both formats was hurting Paramount, especially when they were selling more on blu ray.

I hope Blu ray responds to HD DVD's tactics. They need pay one of other major studios that's currently neutral.

It's not like Blu ray was some huge asset that was selling PS3's. Blu ray wasn't doing jack for PS3. Nobody was demanding blu ray. People see PS3 and XBOX 360 as gaming consoles and it's gonna be the gaming that matters.
Looks like this is the start of a long format war that won't end. And if any console wants to win the console war, it's gonna be with games.
Who knows maybe the studies are true, few people use their consoles as movie players anyway, this whole HD DVD vs Blu ray is probably overblown by gamers.
PS3 is the # 10 selling in PC and video games. Maybe I need to double check, but I didn't see XBOX 360 in the top 100. That would be kinda weird.
PS3 sales are falling at amazon US, not sure why maybe it's the XBOX 360 price drop and bioshock. PS3 still doesn't have crap until the 28th with warhawk.
Console sales can be fickled at times, you need a killer app that sells millions and gets people excited about the console.

Warhawk = 1 bad review of 6.5, and 1 great review of 9.6
Heavenly Sword = good
I'm probably still buying Lair, or renting it first. Simply because there isn't a lot of games to choose from yet.
